Just In Time - Valcom Clocks

The V-VCU includes a 6 amp, current limited power supply and a Valcom digital protocol mixer. When combined with a V-D11025A Digital Clock, a V-GPSA GPS Master Clock, a V-DCPI Digital Clock Protocol Interface or a V-WMCA Wireless Master Clock Transceiver, the V-VCU can provide correction data and power to up to one hundred twenty (120) analog, thirty-six (36) 2.5” digital or thirty (30) 4.0” digital clocks.  Multiple V-VCUs may be combined in a single system.

The V-VCU interface to the V-GPSA, V-DCPI or V-WMCA simply involves connecting the “data out” found on any one of these units to the “Data In” of the V-VCU.

The V-DCPI Digital Clock Protocol Interface allows certain Valcom intercom systems to provide time correction data to Valcom wired and wireless clocks.   For wired clocks, the V-DCPI is a simple interface between the clock cards of the Valcom MultiPath, VC-24 or V-2924A systems and the V-VCU 6 Amp 2-Wire Clock Driver. The V-DCPI converts the output of the V-SER, VC-2927 or V-2927 clock cards to a digital format suitable for connection to the data input of the V-VCU. This interface allows the Valcom MultiPath, VC-24 or V-2924A systems to provide clock correction information to Valcom wired clocks configured for the Valcom 2-wire correction protocol.  

For wireless clocks, the V-DCPI data output may be used to provide time data to a V-WMCA Wireless Master Clock or V-WMCRA Wireless Master Clock Repeater thus allowing the Valcom MultiPath, VC-24 or V-2924A systems to provide clock correction information to Valcom Wireless clocks.
